Mauritania: 99 workers fired from CNA


CNA-CIS workers expressed their anger at the mass dismissal without enjoying their rights, calling on public authorities to enforce the law.

The Al-Akhbar website reported that Muhammad Al-Amin Al-Duff, a spokesperson for the workers, said that 99 workers were fired, indicating that efficiency, performance and seniority were not taken into consideration.

The spokesman explained that the company that is linked to a service contract with the company "Tasiazet" is not bankrupt and does not suffer from any financial crisis, stressing that its conditions improve and its work lasts 12 hours a day.

He also mentioned that contacts made by dismissed workers at the level of the labor inspectorate and the Office of Conflict at the Ministry of Employment.
